Pre-registration for surgery

For day surgery and planned surgical admissions, Davis Memorial Hospital offers the convenience of preadmission.

Preadmission and preoperative evaluations allow our nurses to collect information, perform tests and explain the surgery process to the patient. They are conducted prior to the day of scheduled surgery. Plan to be at the hospital for three or four hours in order to complete all aspects of your preadmission process.

It is helpful if patients bring information regarding allergies and a current medications list to the preadmission interview.

The convenience of preadmission is also available to maternity patients through Central Registration at (304) 637-3185. Consult your physician for additional details.

Registration hours

Central registration is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for outpatient, emergency, inpatient and day surgery registration. Call (304) 637-3185 for more information.
